Quantum of Solace

I use the "Yahoo Users" grade instead of the critics viewpoint on if a movie is worth seeing. You know those critics, they like the artsie fartsie kind of movie and the rest of us like the enjoyment a movie brings to us. If Yahoo users give it a B or above- go see it. This method doesn't work all the time, but I found out that it works for me. My son always teases me about my method.

I also rate by the cost per movie. A first run showing may cost $8.00-11.00 and reviews become more important. If you go to the cheap theater(2nd run) and pay $1.50 . The reviews may not matter as much. A movie has to really suck not to be worth at least a buck fifty.

I am rating these movies by my enjoyment and from the mancave viewpoint. If you didn't like the movie after I said it was worth seeing, please leave a comment on our blog.

Starring:Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Giancarlo Giannini, Jesper Christensen, Mathieu Amalric
Directed by:Marc Forster
Produced by:Anthony Waye, Callum McDougall, Barbara Broccoli

Basic Story: Betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, Bond fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and M interrogate Mr. White who reveals the organization which blackmailed Vesper is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined....etc.

My son (Nick), and I enjoyed the movie but really missed the "Bond Movie Elements". It didn't have the special gadgets, no pretty girls with names like "pussy willow",no humor, the suave, flirtatious Bond was replaced by a normal tough guy.

Basically, As action movies go, it had lots of action. The opening sequence was pretty intense, but the film turned into a "Jason Bourne" type movie. The movie is worth seeing, but die hard Bond fans may be a little disappointed .2thecave.com gives it 3 3/4 Clubs out of 5
